Arbitrum One is a Layer-2 (L2) scaling solution for Ethereum that improves transaction speed and efficiency by offloading processing to a secondary blockchain while remaining connected to the Ethereum mainnet. It uses optimistic rollups to increase throughput and reduce transaction fees by moving most computation and storage off-chain. Arbitrum One also maintains Ethereum's security and compatibility.
FUNDING
The team raised $120m in August of '21 at a valuation of $1.2 billion. Notable investors include Lightspeed Ventures, Polychain Capital, Pantera Capital, and Mark Cuban. The team has raised a total of $143 million across three investment rounds.
